Edition 08 – We’ve all become very good at travelling
We move more often, fit more into shorter windows and build trips around busy lives.
But being good at travelling doesn’t always mean being good at switching off.
It’s easy to return from a trip with great memories, plenty of photographs and the feeling that you could still do with a break.
Early flights, full itineraries, late dinners and too much screen time can leave very little space to stop. There’s nothing wrong with that when it’s the experience you want, but we don’t think every trip needs to be built around doing more.
Sometimes the value lies in creating enough distance from everyday life to reset properly – sleeping better, spending more time outside, moving, eating well and making fewer decisions.
For us, that means designing a trip around how you want to feel while you’re there – and how you want to feel when you come home.
It’s a question we’ve become increasingly interested in at Infinite Explorer: What if travel left you feeling better than you did before the trip?
Next week, we’ll show you what that looks like in practice.
